SCBC Adoption Program Purpose
The purpose of South Central Bloodhound Club Adoption Program is to:
- Rescue stray, unwanted or abandoned bloodhounds;
- Provide medical care;
- Place them in loving homes;
- Provide education on responsible breeding.
Money is spent to insure that the bloodhounds are healthy, neutered or spayed, and treated for heartworms. On occasion we must make the tough decision of euthanasia due to health problems or aggressive behavior. Rescue volunteers receive no compensation for their countless hours and transportation costs. SCBC is very fortunate to have a several vets who provide excellent treatment at a greatly reduced rate and allows SCBC to carry a balance.
Proceeds from all club activities benefit the SCBC Adoption Program.
